Lance Watkins is a Founder and the conceptualizer of Charity Storage. Watkins is also a StorageTreasures Board Member, the Founder and CEO of Storage Outlet and the Founder and Board Member of Storelocal. Currently he is the CEO of Tenant Inc.
Sue Haviland
Vice Chair
Sue Haviland, Owner of Haviland Storage Services, is a leading consultant in all aspects of the self storage industry. She has served as a senior faculty member of the Self Storage Association. She taught certification courses for the SSA on Operations, Sales and Marketing, served on the SSA committee for Education, and on the California Self Storage Association Board of Directors.
Anne Mari DeCoster

Owner of DeCoster Consulting, Anne Mari DeCoster brings over 20 years of expertise in self storage development and operations. She has served in the C-suite of self storage companies and organizations with national footprints, including Storelocal, Tenant Inc., Kingdom Storage Partners, HUCO Pacific Development and the Arizona Self Storage Association. Anne is known for launching innovative products, services and training programs focused on customer experience, corporate culture and staff retention. Currently, she serves as Secretary of Charity Storage, the Arizona Self Storage Association Board of Directors and the California Self Storage Association’s Legal and Legislative Committee.

Melissa is currently the Controller at StorageTreasures/OpenTech Alliance and has served on the Charity Storage Board since 2018.

Robert Chiti is the Founder & CEO of OpenTech Alliance, Inc., a property technology leader in the self storage industry. He served on the Self Storage Association Board from 2014 – 2016 and has published many articles and presents regularly at industry events.
Maureen Lee
Board Member
Maureen is President & COO of Xercor Insurance Services located in Indianapolis, IN. Maureen served as a director on the Self Storage Association (SSA) national board (2014-2016), chairing the Best Practices Committee and serving on the Legislative/Regulatory Committee. Maureen currently sits on the SSA Foundation Board of Governors, where she has served a Chair for the last two years. Maureen has penned several magazine articles and blog posts for the SSA and has been interviewed for numerous articles as an industry expert.
Debbie Sculli

Debra is a seasoned insurance professional with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. She has successfully launched and managed insurance programs nationwide and co-founded a partnership, bringing a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to Charity Storage’s board. For the past eight years, Debra has specialized in self storage Tenant insurance programs, serving a diverse range of clients from large operators to small, family-owned businesses.
Jon Fawcett

Jon Fawcett is the President of Accent Building Restoration (ABR), a leading provider of construction and rebranding services in the self storage industry for over 30 years. With three decades of experience in the field, Jon has been an active member of the Self Storage Association (SSA) for more than 20 years. Since 2016, ABR has proudly partnered with Charity Storage and has had representation on its board since 2020. Additionally, ABR is committed to supporting Kure It Cancer Research and other various charities focused on the special needs communities.
Brandon Snyder

Brandon has over a decade of experience in the storage industry, beginning with hands-on roles training managers and collaborating with thousands of storage locations to enhance income generation and implement risk mitigation strategies. His expertise spans both the insuretech and SaaS sectors. Currently, he serves as the Senior Director of Sales at Storable, where he drives strategic revenue initiatives across all product lines.
Melissa Cameron

Melissa Cameron is Chief Marketing Officer at National Storage Affiliates (NYSE: NSA), leading brand strategy, growth marketing, call center sales & operations, and digital experience across 1,000+ storage locations nationwide. A 25+-year digital marketer, she entered self-storage in 2013 at Extra Space Storage, helping build its digital marketing and customer experience foundation; during her seven years at NSA, revenue grew ~227% (2018–2024).
Jessie Lamb

Jessie Lamb is Vice President of Self Storage at NodaFi, a facility-operations and maintenance software company. She has been a consultant and operator in the self-storage industry for nearly a decade and is a frequent industry speaker and published author on technology and operations.
