Lance Watkins is a Founder and the conceptualizer of Charity Storage. Watkins is also a StorageTreasures Board Member, the Founder and CEO of Storage Outlet and the Founder and Board Member of Storelocal. Currently he is the CEO of Tenant Inc.
Sue Haviland
Vice Chair
Sue Haviland, Owner of Haviland Storage Services and partner at Self-Storage 101, is a leading consultant in all aspects of the self storage industry. She has served as a senior faculty member of the Self Storage Association. She taught certification courses for the SSA on Operations, Sales and Marketing, served on the SSA committee for Education, and on the California Self Storage Association Board of Directors.
Anne Mari DeCoster

Anne Mari DeCoster has an extensive background in management consulting, having worked in numerous areas of both the private and public sectors. In 2002, Anne turned her focus to self-storage, and has served as Executive Director of the Arizona Self-Storage Association 2010 – 2020. Currently she is the COO at Storelocal.

Melissa is currently the Controller at StorageTreasures/OpenTech Alliance and has served on the Charity Storage Board since 2018.
Robert A. Chiti

Robert Chiti is the Founder & CEO of OpenTech Alliance, Inc., a property technology leader in the self storage industry. Robert sits on the Board of Directors of Storage Treasures, LLC. He served on the Self Storage Association Board from 2014 – 2016 and has published many articles and presents regularly at industry events.
Maureen Lee

Maureen is President & COO of Xercor Insurance Services located in Indianapolis, IN. Maureen served as a director on the Self Storage Association (SSA) national board (2014-2016), chairing the Best Practices Committee and serving on the Legislative/Regulatory Committee. Maureen currently sits on the SSA Foundation Board of Governors, where she has served a Chair for the last two years. Maureen has penned several magazine articles and blog posts for the SSA and has been interviewed for numerous articles as an industry expert.
Debbie Sculli

Debra is a seasoned insurance professional with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. She has successfully launched and managed insurance programs nationwide and co-founded a partnership, bringing a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to Charity Storage’s board. For the past eight years, Debra has specialized in self storage Tenant insurance programs, serving a diverse range of clients from large operators to small, family-owned businesses.
Jon Fawcett
Board Member
Jon Fawcett is the President of Accent Building Restoration (ABR), a leading provider of construction and rebranding services in the self storage industry for over 30 years. With three decades of experience in the field, Jon has been an active member of the Self Storage Association (SSA) for more than 20 years. Since 2016, ABR has proudly partnered with Charity Storage and has had representation on its board since 2020. Additionally, ABR is committed to supporting Kure It Cancer Research and other various charities focused on the special needs communities.
Brandon Snyder
Board Member
Brandon is currently the Director of Business Development at Storsmart Bader Insurance Programs. Previously, he was a partner at PFG Capital, which owned 40 self storage locations and a national tenant insurance program, Storsmart Insurance Program. Mr. Snyder also serves on the board of the Nevada Self Storage Association and is an active member of the Self Storage Association’s Young Leaders Group.
