Description
Grandma’s House is an afterschool tutoring program for at-risk students, students who are performing below their grade level, and just need a little additional help. Grandma’s House is a non-profit program that is staffed by volunteers. They provide academic support in reading, math and language arts for students in grades K – 6th grade.
Grandma’s House was founded by Flora Johnson, a retired educator, in 2008. The Core theme of Grandma’s House is, “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”. This core belief has united a community in support of students and built partnerships to enhance the potential for student success.
