(April 13, 2026) – Phoenix, AZ. Charity Storage, the official charity of the self storage industry and official charity partner of the Self Storage Association (SSA), has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting another year of meaningful impact driven by the generosity of the self storage operators across the country.

In 2025, Charity Storage raised more than $212,000, with over $158,000 distributed to more than 20 charitable organizations nationwide. Notable contributions included $75,000 to the SSA Foundation Scholarship Program and $67,000 to Kure It Cancer Research, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to advancing education and life-saving research.

“The continued support we receive from self storage operators never ceases to impress me,” said Kristi Adams, Board Chair of Charity Storage. “Time and time again, this industry shows up in meaningful ways. It is incredible to see how operators turn everyday business into real impact for their communities. It speaks volumes about who we are as an industry and the difference we can make when we come together.”

Charity Storage experienced strong operational growth in 2025, adding 299 new participating facilities and expanding both volunteer support and marketing initiatives. These efforts continue to make it easier for operators to integrate charitable giving into their daily operations.

The model remains simple and effective. Storage operators designate a unit for donated or abandoned goods, which are then auctioned, with proceeds supporting charitable causes. Sixty percent of funds go directly to a charity of the operator’s choice, alongside contributions to Kure It Cancer Research and the SSA Foundation.

Throughout the year, Charity Storage also strengthened its presence across the industry through events and partnerships. Highlights included participation in the SSA Fall Conference and Trade Show, the Paws & Relax event, and the ISS World Expo, as well as fundraising initiatives such as Hoops for a Cause, Ronald McDonald Walk for Kids, and the Spare A Little Bowling Tournament.

The organization also welcomed new leadership, adding two experienced professionals to its Board of Directors, further strengthening its leadership and long-term strategic direction.

“Looking ahead, we are excited to continue building on this momentum and finding new ways to grow our impact,” Adams said. “With the continued support of this incredible industry, we know the best is still ahead.”
